In John 17:1–11, we overhear Jesus praying with a tenderness that feels like the heartbeat of the Gospel. He lifts His eyes and entrusts everything, His life, His friends, His mission, into his Father’s keeping. In this prayer, glory is love poured out; a life completely aligned with God’s heart. Jesus prays for His disciples not to escape the world but to be held within God’s own life, gathered into the unity that Father and Son share. It is a reminder that our belonging begins in God, that our purpose flows from being known and loved, and that even in uncertainty we are carried by a holiness that does not let us go.
