John 1:29–42 opens with a startling message that changes everything: John the Baptist points to Jesus and says, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” In that moment, the crowds’ expectations shift from a prophet to the One who embodies God’s mercy and renewal. Then John testifies, the Spirit descends, the first disciples follow, and Andrew brings his brother with the simple, life‑altering words, “We have found the Messiah.” The passage reminds us that faith often begins with a quiet invitation to “come and see.” In Jesus, the disciples discover not just a teacher but the very presence of God drawing near, and their encounter becomes the seed of a community shaped by grace, curiosity, and the courage to follow where He leads.
