Sunday Preview: Seeking. Valuing. Celebrating All God’s Children

The parables in Luke 15:1-10 invite us into a discipleship that mirrors God’s heart: seeking the lost, valuing the overlooked, and celebrating transformation.  In the Parable of the Lost Sheep Jesus responds to criticism from religious leaders who disapprove of His association with sinners. Jesus concludes by saying: “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”  In The Parable of the Lost Coin Jesus says: “There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

In God’s pursuit, both parables show a God who actively seeks the lost. Every person matters deeply to God. Repentance is not met with judgment, but with celebration.  These stories reflect the heart of discipleship, valuing mercy over merit and rejoicing in transformation.

Join with us on Sunday, September 14 as we walk with Jesus and reflect on his teachings.  We invite you to Come and See! Worship begins at 10 am. You can participate in worship via Facebook and YouTube as well as Zoom Meeting ID 810 6731 3420   Passcode: 549258.
