“We find ourselves called by Jesus to dwell in a community characterized by forgiveness, restoration, and mutual encouragement—a fellowship that mirrors the essence of our foundational scripture from the book of James. This summons invites us to live in a way that shares, blesses, and cares for others, transcending time and place. Implicit in these actions is the notion of a supportive community, one that envelops and sustains its members in their individual needs.
James specifically instructs us to “call for the elders” when seeking prayer and the laying on of hands. This call bridges the gap between all individuals, regardless of their social or economic standing. The prayers of the righteous, James reminds us, possess remarkable power and efficacy. Indeed, prayer remains a transformative force—it changes circumstances and transforms hearts. And when we find ourselves unable to pray, we can be grateful for the prayer warriors who encircle us, lifting our petitions to God on our behalf.”
