This story for Palm Sunday is all about question of proclaiming identity. The scripture says, “When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying, ‘Who is this?’”
This is the procession to end all processions. All Praise, Honor, Shouts of Acclamation!
It is important, however, not to cut the story from the bigger picture so that it becomes only a celebration. This is the fateful entry which will take Jesus to his death.
