In the Gospel of Luke, we read things such as “Blessed you that are poor… Blessed are you who are hungry now…” We also read that Jesus tells a man to “Sell all that you own and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me;” (Luke 18:22).
Our reading this Sunday contrasts these passionate statements from Luke’s Gospel with the story of the dishonest steward. Join us as we study what the moral of this story is and how we can learn from it and have a better understanding of the word of God.
