We just know that Jesus is told to run and save his life…and that Jesus refuses. Instead, he will continue traveling the arduous path to Jerusalem to meet his death there like so many earlier prophets of God. In this commitment to embrace his destiny for the sake of humanity we see the steadfast courage of our Lord.
