Jesus knows what it means to be tempted.
In the 4th chapter of Luke’s Gospel, we see how the temptations from Satan seek to erode and undercut Jesus’ confidence in this relationship with God and therefore undermine Jesus’ identity. What is Jesus’ response, “Do not put the Lord your God to the test!”
