Jesus’ parables remind us that the faith we live and the kingdom we proclaim isn’t an intellectual idea but a heart, mind, and spirit experience, an experience of the creative and redemptive power of God that continues to change lives.
Jesus uses story, image, metaphor–whatever it takes–and his ministry is hands on . Take heart and remember that we have been trained for the kingdom of heaven, we are rich in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and we have Jesus’ teaching guide in the gospels. This treasure, old and new, is exactly what we need.
