This week we continue our Summer of Seeds study as we look at the types of soil we encounter in our planting. If we are honest with ourselves, we can probably find evidence of many different types of soil as there are people in our lives on any given day. Jesus’ investment in his disciples shows that he simply will not give up on them, in spite of their many failings. Jesus will care for them so the soil of their being can become the Good Soil filled with the Good News of the Gospel! This is not only something for the first disciples, but it is just as important to us today. Jesus will keep working on whatever needs cultivating within us. We trust in his promise to be with us to the end of the age.
