In John 17, the prayer of Jesus focused on the disciples. After the revelation was stated before them about what was happening, the prayerful words of our Lord turned the Father’s attention to the future welfare of Jesus’ followers. Jesus reminded the Father who needs no reminding, that his followers were given to him by the Father. Jesus prayed for their safety, their ministry, and their relationship with each other.
Jesus also prays for us when we bring our desires and cares to him. Join us on Sunday as we reflect on Jesus’ prayer in John 17. We begin worship at 10 am.
