On Saturday, June 12th, the St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church Ho-Ho-Kus community gathered in the Rectory garden for a Celebration of New Ministry for their Rector, the Reverend Cathie Sklenar-Studwell. Along with the St. Bartholomew’s family, the mass was attended by leaders and members of local congregations.

The Right Reverend Carlye J. Hughes presided over the mass, where Rev. Cathie was presented with a beautiful stole embroidered with the phrase “Come and See” and the date June 1, 2020, when Rev. Cathie officially became the Parish’s Rector. The mass was followed by a lunch in the garden.

Rev. Cathie is a graduate of Drew University with a Masters in Divinity, and a winner of the Alfred B. Hass award for excellence in Liturgy. Prior to becoming St. Bartholomew’s Rector, Rev. Cathie was the parish’s interim minister.
