Our passage from Luke’s Gospel begins and ends with the Law regarding the birth of our Savior.

v. 22 “When the time came for their ritual cleansing, in accordance with the Law from Moses, they brought Jesus up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord”

v. 39 “When Mary and Joseph had completed everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to their hometown, Nazareth in Galilee.”

We will look at the impact that the infant Jesus had on people who saw him at his presentation and reflect on the impact that Jesus had in our own lives this year as well as how we desire to grow closer to him in 2024.
Luke says “The child grew and became strong…” Jesus, launched into the world, through the faithful hopes and practices of his parents and others who helped him to grow and be prepared for his adult ministry. How can we, no matter what age we are today receive the wisdom and grace of God to move us into new and creative ministries, sharing the good news in 2024?
