The parables in Luke 15:1-10 invite us into a discipleship that mirrors God\u2019s heart: seeking the lost, valuing the overlooked, and celebrating transformation.\u00a0 In the Parable of the Lost Sheep Jesus responds to criticism from religious leaders who disapprove of His association with sinners. Jesus concludes by saying: \u201cThere will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.\u201d\u00a0 In The Parable of the Lost Coin Jesus says: \u201cThere is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.\u201d<\/p>\n

In God\u2019s pursuit, both parables show a God who actively seeks the lost. Every person matters deeply to God. Repentance is not met with judgment, but with celebration.\u00a0 These stories reflect the heart of discipleship, valuing mercy over merit and rejoicing in transformation.<\/p>\n
