{"id":3403,"date":"2023-01-14T17:32:03","date_gmt":"2023-01-14T17:32:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stbartshhk.com\/?p=3403"},"modified":"2023-01-14T17:32:03","modified_gmt":"2023-01-14T17:32:03","slug":"come-and-see-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stbartshhk.com\/?p=3403","title":{"rendered":"Come and See"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The invitation to &#8216;come and see&#8217;, found in John&#8217;s Gospel is an invitation for us today as well as those who heard the Word centuries ago.<\/p>\n<p>When we accept the invitation, we:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>See kindness offered and find a way to practice it ourselves.<\/li>\n<li>Gratefully receive the generous gifts of others and learn to share, in turn, from what we have been given.<\/li>\n<li>Pray for ourselves and others.<\/li>\n<li>Experience forgiveness and then seek reconciliation where it has been broken between us.<\/li>\n<li>Hear the call for justice for all, as Dr. Martin Luther King proclaimed and join others in working for it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is as we\u00a0<em>&#8216;come and see&#8217;<\/em>\u00a0in all these ways &#8212; as the disciples did with Jesus so long ago &#8212; that faith is born and grows and is passed on.<\/p>\n<p>Join us on Sunday, January 15.
