St. Bartholomew’s Community Garden produced a wonderful crop of vegetables and flowers in 2018.\u00a0 Having a community garden provides an opportunity to not only enjoy the gift of planting, caring for and watching plants and vegetables grow, it provides a precious gift of time for people to spend with each other.<\/p>\n

In the book, Civic Ecology, Adaptation and Transformation from the Ground Up<\/strong>, authors Marianne E. Krasny and Keith G. Tidball, write about the benefits of being civic ecology stewards.\u00a0 “The people–civic ecology stewards–envision places where humans are neither divorced from nature nor separated from each other.\u00a0 They understand how our future depends on understanding that humans–like other living beings–are all part of a larger nature”.<\/p>\n

We are in the process of partnering with organizations to help distribute some of our crops, next year, to local food banks.\u00a0 If you would like to be a part of our community garden, please feel free to contact us.<\/p>\n
